Newborn Studio Sessions
With winter and cold weather in full swing I've been able to spend a ton of time at our studio lately! One of the rooms in our studio is super spacious with a ton of natural light that shines through. We have a small bed and several backdrops, which makes for versatility in studio sessions.
One of my recent sessions in the studio was with this beautiful baby who made it just in time to celebrate one week of life! Everyone, meet Miles.
Back in the fall I wanted to add some maternity sessions to my portfolio, things were starting to slow down so it was the perfect time to put the word out and get some bumps photographed. Elysia and Jason responded to a model call and a few months later they reached out wanting to document their newest addition to the family.

The first thing I do when I arrive to the studio for newborn sessions is crank up the heat and prepare our space. With a super toasty room and comfy bed it makes it extremely easy to get the best newborn shots, and all their little details. Miles was so calm and relaxed and made my job easy!
When it comes to styling a newborn session - and deciding what to have babies wear, I always recommend keeping it neutral or muted. Black, cream, and navy blue were used in this session and I couldn't be happier with how the tones look post edit.
This photoshoot with Miles is so precious and will definitely be one I look back on for awhile. Nothing is more sweet than a brand new, squishy baby, right?!
More studio sessions to come this winter!
Thanks for being here,
