Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe your "style" of wedding photography?

The majority of images I deliver are a style called documentary. or wedding photojournalism, which means capturing the day as it happens.  Very little direction or staging occurs, and no posing by the photographers in this style; we are simply capturing the moments of the day as they unfold.  Relaxed, editorial portraiture of the Bride and groom is an important part of my style, both alone and together.  Your Bride and Groom images will reflect your personalities and love for each other.  With many years of experience in posing and lighting, your portraits will be of the highest quality

and make you look your best!

I also include dynamic and dramatic, creative and artistic imagery in my repertoire through the use of composition, lighting, and styling  We include something creative with a fine art look at every wedding  Most of our wedding party portraits will be of a relaxed nature and more non-traditional.  We do block off at least thirty minutes at every wedding for family portraits of a more traditional nature.  The versatility of my style is often tailored to the taste of my client, and I include a variety of style in the finished product.

Will all the photos I receive be edited?

Yes, all images you receive will be fully edited for color correction which includes adjustments for white balance, exposure, contrast, vibrancy, shadow and highlight detail, along with cropping as needed and composition improvements.   Image quality and accurate skin tones is always our number one goal.  We want your images to look good in print!  We do include some stylized edits in your proof set, but use them sparingly.  Too many images you see today are over-processed with the latest fad Lightroom and Photoshop presets, which will be out-of-style in five years.  And they often don't print well!
